March 23rd – March 29th
Red Flight 20
2014 Storm, Pinot Noir | Santa Barbara County, Ca
Fresh red and dark cherry fill the nose with hints of forest floor. The palate is rich, yet delicate and lasting. 290 cases produced.
2015 Projection, Cabernet Sauvignon | California
A deep garnet color and aromas of raspberry, black cherry, plum, and ripe currant fill the glass. The palate is soft, plush, and packed with raspberry jam, dried cranberry, and sweet boysenberry.
2013 Secret Squirrel, GSM | Columbia Valley, Ca
Dollar for dollar, this just might be the best Rhone blend in Washington. Wonderful sweet raspberry and mulberry, cured olive, purple flowers, fig and cigar box. Beautifully balanced for sipping or pairing with just about anything from the grill, it also has plenty of cellar life ahead of it. 48% Syrah, 32% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre.
Spring Whites Flight 15
2016 Tribute to Grace, Rosé | Santa Barbara, Ca
It kicks off with floral notes, well, more a bouquet, and then follows with a mix of watermelon and strawberry macerated in a quick blitz of citrus, all buoyed upon stony notes of minerals. Made from 100% Grenache.
2015 Pieropan, Soave | Veneto, Italy
Founded in 1890 by Leonildo Pieropan, the estate is the Veneto's leading light for top-quality Soave. Pieropan's fleshy, juicy, delicious 2015 release is classic blend of Garganega (85%) and Trebbiano di Soave grown exclusively on hillside estate vineyards in Soave's superior Classico subzone.
2015 Priest Ranch, Grenache Blanc | Napa Valley, Ca
This is an aromatic white wine with bright aromas of white peach, melons and honeysuckle. The palate is sharp with good acidity, minerality, bright stone fruits and a touch of tannins.
Big Guns Wine Flight 40
2014 Dragonette, Pinot Noir | Santa Rita Hills, Ca
Bright, citrus-driven acidity provides energy and lift, and ripe, pliable tannins provide fine structure, giving a long, satisfying finish.
2014 Misc., Syrah | Mount Veeder, Ca
Brought to you by the dudes who make Aonair wines. We opened a bottle of this last week and it was spectacular. Only 2 barrels (roughly 50 cases) produced of this gem.
2010 PerryMoore, Cabernet Sauvignon | Napa Valley, Ca
Medium deep red in color with a red hue. Rich, supple and harmonious, with smooth blackcurrant, plum and black cherry fruit that's balanced, fleshy and moderately tannic. It gains complexity as it moves from the mid palate through the long finish.
